From Ice Capades Program - 1958
Welcome to my blog. The purpose of this blog is to pay tribute to my father, Paul Castle Sr. known to others as Mickey Mouse (at Disneyland in California for 25 years), as the Might Mite (with Ice Capades) and other skating shows in the United States and Holiday On Ice in Europe.

My father has made so many people happy throughout his 86 years of life, it would be nice if those who may have seen him or have met him could post their experiences with him.

We are asking for prayers and well wishes as he is approaching the end of his life. If you would like to post any words of encouragement I will present them to him.

Feel free to respond to the pictures or blogs or send your comments to PaulCastleSr@gmail.com

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all

  1. Hi. I just read an article about your father and saw this blog link. WOW, what an amazing performer your father was. What a wonderful guy he must've been also, to bring so much joy to those around him, without receiving recognition for his most played role of Mickey Mouse. It was so wonderful seeing the positive things he and your Mom said about Walt Disney too. Your Dad may have been small in stature but he really seemed to be so very large & capable in his performing arts abilities. I absolutely love everything Disney and now I will never see another Mickey Mouse without thinking positively of your Dad and what he added to the specialness of Mickey Mouse. God bless and keep you and your family this year and thank you for sharing the great story and photos of your Dad & Mom. Thank you, Bonnie

  3. Cousin (1st once removed) Paul was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times. He came to visit my mother, Mollie Whitby nee: Roberts, in Seville, OH and I saw him at Aunt Clara's funeral. I really liked him a lot.
Chris, my mother, would love to speak with you, I'm sure, about Paul.

  4. Sorry, I meant aunt Anna's funeral. I also have to make a correction in the cousin part. Although he was first cousin it was at least 3 times removed. My mother was daughter to Hazel Castle. Hazel was daughter to Gervaise Castle who was brother to Paul's father Richard.

  5. Hi, Chrisanna. My parents skated with your parents in Ice Capades & Holiday on Ice. My dad, Buster Grace, was the one of 3 skaters who preformed on stilts. My mom, Lucy, skated in the chorus line.Your mom & dad, sister Paula, Nana White, Uncle Johnny & Uncle Eugene lived 2 doors down from us in Levittown, NY.I remember playing & going to school with Paula & her nextdoor neighbor, Linda Peckman. We had good times together. I also met your Dad's brother Richard a few times.Your parents visited with my parents one time while they were Florida. My parents are no longer alive, but we have a photo of the 4 of them @ my parent's house. Lots of good memories. Much love, Tina(Grace) Simms.
